March 2, 2017 - Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel & Convention Center
Medi-Cal is the largest Medicaid program in the country and has experienced huge growth since the passage of the ACA. California has its own unique financing structure for Medi-Cal which must be reconciled with new requirements under the final federal rule on Medicaid Managed Care set by the Centers of Medicaid Services (CMS) and the potential for major changes from the federal Administration. The federal health care debate has included several potential “reforms” to the way Medicaid is financed including Block Grants and Per Capita Spending Caps. Either approach would be a fundamental change to a program that currently bases funding on actual cost to the State. While we don’t know what will happen or when it will happen, we will start the discussion by examining our current Medi-Cal program, its financing structure, proposed federal reforms like block grants, and hearing from health plans and other industry experts on what are the opportunities and challenges of reform.
If you have topic or content ideas for a seminar, or would like to sponsor a 2017 seminar, please contact Geri O'Neil, CAHP's Business Development Manager, at (916) 558-1548 or email@example.com.
14th Annual PAC Event
Over the course of thirteen years the CAHP PAC event has proven to be our premier opportunity for attendees to establish new business relationships. CAHP's PAC is an important tool in our legislative advocacy program as we promote coordinated, network-based health care and the need to maintain access to cost effective health services. Your support of this event helps CAHP continue our advocacy efforts.
